The exceptional landscapes are legion in Tanzania and each safari has its share of marvelous discoveries. But to come face to face with a herd of elephants on a mountain bike, to try to catch up with an antelope in full run. These are moments of pure exception! Thank you to Virginie and our super guide for the excellent organization, the latest equipment and the beautiful routes! A real treat in its pure state and in the wild! I recommend this trip at 200% for all those who love adventure and want to get off the beaten track!

Virginie organized a breathtaking adventure for us. Being familiar with Tanzania and safaris, I was looking for a different experience this time, and I was not disappointed. As a cycling and photography enthusiast, I enjoyed the scenery, the small trails and the wildlife. We were incredibly lucky to see gazelles, zebras, giraffes and even elephants! Ben, our guide, was impeccable, he knows the area inside out. The equipment was of a high standard, which allowed us to get through the sometimes difficult conditions without worry.

Cycling through the bush will probably always be my best bike ride.

I'm 53 years old and although I have cycled long distances, I am new to mountain biking. I found the terrain technical in areas and for that I was actually grateful.  It pushed me and I appreciated the amazing bikes and equipment.  I also appreciated our guide Ben who knew when I needed a break and was patient as I pushed my bike over some of the technical sections.  I absolutely loved the connection with people, eating local food in a small community we biked through and there is nothing like connecting with the land, animals, birds and people on a bike.  I'll be dreaming about these five days for many years to come.  Asante Sana Virginie and Ben!

This time I found the right compromise with the mountain bike. You find the silence, the smells, the sensations of walking but you have the possibility to see more things and to change sceneries in the same day.

As an avid mountain biker, I had in mind to try to travel by bike without having dared to do it yet. It's done! The organization of the trip, the equipment available and the guide are really reassuring, and allow any person who is a bit sporty to adapt. I recommend the experience.

We were guided by Bysikeli on a five day bikepacking trip in the Mount Meru area. It was an amazing trip! We were surprised by the diversity of landscapes that we passed through, everything from rolling foothills to Mount Meru, to flat dry savannah, to thick green forest, patureland and villages. It was fun to cycle through Masai country to see their way of life, and it was the first time I've cycled through herds of goats and cattle! We had some amazing encounters with wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and elephants! These encounters with wildlife were much more memorable from a bicycle than from the safari tour we did by vehicle. Our guide not only showed us the route, but kept us safe and aided us in our conversations with the people we met along the way. The bicycles supplied by Bysikeli were excellent. I don't  hesitate to recommend this tour, and I would do the same tour again the next time I'm in Tanzania!
